Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Preference Labs collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website, portal, APIs, and related services.
Last updated: April 12, 2026
Information we collect
We collect account information you provide, such as your name, email address, organization details, authentication state, and portal preferences. If you create or manage API keys, we store key metadata and operational records needed to display, rotate, revoke, and audit those keys.
When you use Preference Labs, we collect service telemetry such as request timestamps, endpoint names, connector usage, error states, usage totals, billing status, and security events. This helps us operate the portal, attribute usage, prevent abuse, and debug failures.
Google user data
If you sign in with Google, we use Google OAuth to authenticate you and may receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, profile image, Google account identifier, and sign-in confirmation. We use this information to create and maintain your Preference Labs account, keep your session secure, and connect your portal identity to the Preference backend.
Preference Labs does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, or other Google product content unless a future feature asks for that access with a separate consent screen. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to data brokers.
How we use information
We use collected information to provide the Preference Labs portal, authenticate users, operate API access, process billing flows, show usage and logs, improve reliability, investigate abuse, and communicate about account or security matters.
We limit use of Google user data to the practices described in this policy and to the permissions approved by the user during sign-in or authorization.
Storage and security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect account information, API key metadata, usage records, and authentication data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk through access controls, logging, and secure handling practices.
Authentication secrets, backend tokens, and payment credentials are handled through server-side systems or specialized providers. Browser-visible keys are limited to publishable or public configuration values.
Retention and deletion
We retain account, usage, billing, and security records for as long as needed to provide Preference Labs, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain service integrity.
You can request account deletion, access, correction, or export by contacting hello@preference.ai. We may retain limited records where required for security, fraud prevention, billing, legal compliance, or legitimate business operations.
International users
Preference Labs may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. By using the service, you understand that information may be transferred to jurisdictions with different data protection laws than your country.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, legal requirements, or our practices change. If we materially change how we use Google user data or other personal information, we will provide notice as appropriate and request renewed consent where required.
